New Ops Manager for Summit Knoxville and PD for Star 102.1, Rich Bailey exits

He was most recently assistant PD & afternoon drive at Summit’s country station in Louisville (Q103.1). And his previous experience appears to be in CHR. Seems he’s well suited as he’s programmed in both formats.
He was APD in country, longtime CHR PD at Hot FM in Grand Rapids, & also has rhythmic CHR experience from 3 years at “102.9 Da Bomb” in Corpus Christi. So solid experience in 3 of Summit’s 4 formats here in Knoxville. Seems like a logical choice.

So 100.3 and 93.1 HD have been shut off as of yesterday and as of last night 93.1 is a dead carrier. Either they are having technical issues or something might possibly be about to happen.

I was informed by a reliable source that they were doing engineering work last night. Apparently 93.1's automation hit a hard stop and no one seemed to notice for the entire morning drive (my wife heard them on before 6am but not after)

I was starting to wonder when the "Baby Shark 104.5" stunt went on for several hours on April Fool's Day a flip might have been imminent, though I wouldn't have thought Hot 104.5 would have been a candidate. If anyone is going to flip, it probably would be 93.1, but with Jack being back, I can't imagine what they would flip to.
