New R&B Station for Bryan/College Station. Coming within the Next Month!!!

Just looking for the update here. We're well into the Fall sweeps and the promised Urban flip still hasn't happened. Can you really sell Urban to a bunch of Aggies? The old VJM had the ratings but couldn't convert em to revenue with Pluria and Sanchez. Since Candy isn't going to fragment their audience that leaves it to CC or Brazos Valley. CC already blew up the format for La Preciosa so they're out unless they finally put a bullitt in perennial also ran Aggie 96, but that's a real tough sales call locally. The Fox is pretty much a dead animal, but are they really willing to abandon rock in such a male oriented beer drinkin town? Then we move to Brazos who could have room on KZTR, but they countered the Preciosa move there. KORA is as heritage as it gets and thereby untouchable especially with Texas Country getting some serious life as the Pat Green's and Randy Rogers' start blowing up. XCS is the remaining candidate, but how do you abandon rock/alternative in an 18-24 market? Since the stick is equidistant to Austin, I don't know that they'd have much Urban value in all those towns along SH21. So this imminent move to urban doesn't have a home unless you look to the various Henderson sticks that have never been a factor. So name the frequency for urban?

I don't think we aggies are much of an Urban type of people. Most Aggies listen to Rock or Country. It's one of the two. KORA, Aggie 96, and Candy 95 have prety much covered it all (oh and also XCS). Maybe an independently owned station like 106.1 (long shot though)

KLTR

More changes in B/CS... KLTR 107.3 is now a simulcast of country station Lonestar 92.5. KULF 94.1 is still Adult Contemporary.
