New Sports Radio ESPN 590 PANAMA CITY

This signal booms here during the daytime, you folks in Pensacola might wanna try AM 590 for sports. Their pattern is directional (of course) but being a 2 KW station, should come in there nicely @ the daytime till you guys get a 24/7 sports station again. I know with the dumb ass move of 98.1 moving to 100.3, the TICKET sealed their grave but, give it a try and tell me what type of reception you guys get.

On my CCRadio Plus, it's full strength, same with my Grundig Satellit receiver. with built in antenna. Didn't try in the car cause I mostly listen to music or CD's.

as usual Rob, you have it wrong again.....the station is not directional in the daytime....only at night.....and we run 1.7 kw in the daytime and 2.5 kw at night....there is already a thread about this station that started last Friday....did I do OK Tibbs? I was trying to be civil...it is hard for me to do when it comes to Rob...

CCENG

It's par for the course CCENG. I am however curious about 590. It appears to be nulled to the north... who are you protecting?

Or perhaps it just looks that way because AM travels better over water?

Not being a smart ass-- it's a legit question. I'm no RF Engineer.

Good news for the panhandle. I guess the "tweak" that 100.3 was doing - actually a move to a tower they owned and a power decrease - didn't help. They had been claiming it would reach Pensacola despite all engineering data showing otherwise. The truth hurts I guess.

Good luck ESPN 590

Sorry, didn't see the thread there..and what amazes me is they still advertise a lot of Pensacola businesses on 100.3. I heard "Legacy Lending" there which completely doesn't make sense. If the signal craps out.. why spend the advertising dollars!
