Yesterday morning (July 7th), between 7 and 9 A.M. EDT, the broadcast-network morning shows were going wall-to-wall with coverage of the terrorist attacks on London's subway system.
According to this article by New York Daily News TV/Radio editor Richard Huff, so did WNYW-5's "Good Day Live".
But WPIX-11's "WB-11 Morning News" did not go to wall-to-wall coverage of the London attacks, instead running many of their regular "light" features, such as one on a man who bowled backwards, as well as interviews with soap-opera actress Cameron Matthison and professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.
WPIX received considerable criticism in Huff's column.
FYI: At one time, the Daily News owned WPIX. I know that the Tribune company now owns WPIX; doesn't Tribune also own the Daily News??
