New York FM Pirate Radio Band Scan ID's Required Please

Hi all, I'm a UK pirate radio operator and I'm very interested in FM pirate radio around other parts of the world, particularly New York City.

....I have access to an online FM radio tuner located in Long Beach and I can regularly hear these types of FM stations but it seems very hard to catch an ID for most of them as some of them don't speak any English or come up in my Google searches.

Here is what I've logged so far, I just need some assistance identifying some of the following....

89.7
89.9
90.1
90.9
91.1
91.3
91.7
91.9
93.3
94.5 Hype FM HD (http://hypefmhd.com/)
95.1
95.9
96.9 East Coast Rock??
98.9
99.3 Star fm
99.7
99.9 Triple nine HD http://www.triple9hd.moonfruit.com/
100.7 Irie Storm http://www.iriestormradio.com/
101.7

As you can see most of them are still blank as I've not been able to catch an ID for them yet. Thanks everyone, all help much appreciated.

In my opinion pirate radio stations should be shut down and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They usually interfere with legitimate radio stations who pay big bucks for their licenses.

I know a lot of people don't agree with them but all the time there is radio there will be pirates. I can see what you mean when it comes to NYC though with many of them broadcasting over legitimate stations which is bad practice and gives a bad name for the rest. That is irresponsible and not cool.

Occasionally, the Brooklyn Pirate Watch feed on Twitter identifies some of the Flatbush-area pirates (Flatbush is a largely Caribbean neighborhood in southern Brooklyn), but it can be hard to catch an ID. And if you're listening to a tuner in Long Beach then you might be getting different pirates. It's not clear how far the Flatbush pirates' signals reach. On one trip to JFK Airport, I heard some pirates that were probably the same as in Flatbush, but some that were different.

BK Pirate Watch would be very interested to know if you hear anything other than Caribbean or Spanish-language programming on any of the pirates. The vast majority of pirates in the Flatbush area are Caribbean. A lot of them are Haitian and speak only in Haitian Creole so it's hard to know what's going on there.

Once the FCC slams the band with low-power translators, isn't it the same difference?
