Maybe Knicks and Rangers games might go back to WEPN’s 1050 AM starting this fall and WMTR might still go all in with the oldies format, and “Doo-Wop Drive”.
Now that the Rangers hockey game is done due to the Rangers lost to the Panthers to go to the Stanley Cup finals, WMTR is officially done with Knicks and Rangers games! YAY!!!! 👍
Time to listen to “Doo-Wop Drive” with Allan David Stein with “Doo-Wop Dream Machine” with Bob Traverio on WRCR and guess what? “A Doo-Wop Double Feature” is back to stay, for now!

One week after WCBS ended the all-news format after 57 years, ESPN Radio is now on 880 AM as WHSQ (formerly WCBS), and they now have the home of the Knicks and Rangers games on there, and I don’t know if WMTR would continue to carrying Knicks and Rangers games, because of “Doo-Wop Drive” keep pre-empting after “Doo-Wop Dream Machine”, or maybe 880 will have the Knicks and Rangers games on there. 1250AM has a weaker signal where it reaches New York City while 880 has a stronger signal to reach Morristown, NJ. Let’s see how this goes.

Let’s hope if the Knicks and Rangers are not going to do well on WMTR at 1250AM, they might end up going to WHSQ’s (formerly WCBS’) ESPN Radio at 880AM, and they will bring some of its sports fans.
