Actually WLTW has a few things to crow about.

1) It had its highest ratings ever for the Holiday 2023 period. Burl Ives and Nat King Cole boosted Lite-FM to its all-time highest numbers.

2) It was #1 in three markets: NYC, Long Island (where it tied another Christmas station, WALK-FM) and Middlesex-Somerset-Union.

No, it was #1 in just one market. Long Island and Middlesex are pieces of the New York MSA which are broken out separately as "embedded markets".

During the rest of the year, you have to go online to listen to Burl and Nat,how sad.

CBS is 5th 18-34, and the Block misses the Top 10 entirely. Go figure.

One show doth not a success make, but today is the first day of Jesse Addy on CBS-FM. This is going to be interesting to watch. Maybe this should be a fresh thread but so far, it's been hard to even get much serious discussion on the changes at CBS-FM with Broadway going to evenings and Jesse stepping into afternoons. Will "his" younger sounding approach work?

Audacy might as well just bake cookies if it doesn't. If you can't make hip hop for chicks in their 30's a winner in New York, then you have no business programming radio stations at all.
Remember, that is a less than perfect signal. Still, with around a 2 share... which will be higher in the sales demos... they can make a good profit. Ethnic (Hispanic and Black) are frequently bought with separate budgets and total market rank is not significant or important.

Tunnel vision. Everyone is trying to chase the same people. The genre is over-served.
No, everyone is trying to chase the same ad money, and getting it depends on delivering certain ranges of age.

It's still tunnel vision. There are 16.5 million people in the market, try finding some others besides 30 year old hip hop chicks. They already have lots of stations. How about some actual format variety?

OK, name a format that is economically viable that does not exist on a full signal in the market
