Newsday: Sources: Mets close to deal to air games on WOR 710-AM in 2014

If there's a conflict between the Mets and Rutgers football, who would get bumped and where would they go?

Rutgers football currently is the closest thing the NY Metro has had to a
major NCAA power since -- what, Fordham in the 30's ? West Point?

But if and when the Mets find it in them to have an 'October' calendar hanging on
the clubhouse wall, Rutgers football gets shuttled to another station when there's
a conflict. Analyst Jeff Sagarin (who appears in USA Today) currently has Rutgers
ranked as # 53 in the country (right behind my Mississippi State :- ) . When the
Knights get into the top 25 and BCS-Bowl tempting, priorities might change.

The NY Times ran an article on the sale that hinted at Clear Channel distributing their
spillover even onto their FM properties. Flip a coin and decide which FM. If the
football games are now on the World's Oldest Radio 710, would they be bussed to
an older-skewing Clear Channel station or a younger one?
