Next Week, JD,WABC 9 - 12 Tony Farr,WHJJ 12 - 3 Matt Allen,WPRO 3 - 7

You are right. That is actually a lineup that I'm excited about. I'll be tuned in. My biggest decision is weather to tune into WABC with my regular radio (or) just listen to the internet feed instead. Maybe I'll do the internet thing. WABC comes in the worst of all the New York stations. I've got two GE Super radios which do an awsome job of seperating frequencies. I've also got a "Terk AM advantage antenna" I use. So bleed through from 790 The score is not a problem for me like on a typical radio. But WABC still has a bit more static on it compared to other New York stations.

Matt is a good talk host. He needs to get more polished on international issues .
He is intelligent, a good communicator and a fast learner.

Tony Farr, is still in the pre election era. Same spouting, Pro 'Bush, Pro War, on and on, BORING

Actually Depetro is on from ten am to noon on WABC. sounded like he never left.

Tony Far was on from noon to three on WHJJ. reminded me of Depetro. Not boring at all, darn good. Funny as hell concerning MRS Clinton.

Matt Allen was NOT on! He starts tomorrow! tony r., Matt is the best host in RI. Do you happen to work at Citadel?
just wondering.

I listened to Tony and then Matt every day.
Good 'local' talk radio. Too bad their not on everyday on one station.

I was un able to recieve 770am WABC for John Depetro.

skynet 74, was wondering what
you thought of Matt, Tony, and John D this week?

Busy week. So I didn't get a chance to listen nearly as much as I had planned. I only heard John D. He doesn't seem to skip a beat. He sounds decent no matter where he broadcasts from. But I also think he is an aquired taste. You need to listen to him for a while to really get into him. So he probably didn't impress a whole lot of people in the tri-State area. Chances are to them he was just your ordinary average fill in guy.

I listened to Matty & Tony Farr this week. Matty was his great self. I listen to him on Sat. mng too. He's so funny. He can hold a conversation on anything. You wait till he gets more experience, he'll be big....if he wants too..

Tony was ok. Nothing special though. He was saying how he loved WHJJ and thought they were great.......I don't understand Tony being told not to call other talk shows anymore and he agreed. I thought Tony was tougher than that.
I'd have told them to shove it.

There's another talk show host who calls WPRO constantly and isn't intimidated by anyone.

Mrs Joy,
I don't hear Matt Allen or Dan Yorke calling Tony or Helen!
They are not ALLOWED to. I believe Matt , Tony, and Dan are good friends
By the way,Matt and Dan say they love wpro,so
Cut Tony a little slack. I wish they could ALL call one another, but these two stations are rivals.
I do bet Tony would be at home with his friends though. Walter.

Tony is lucky he didn't get canned too. He was calling the 'other' station EVERY Saturday. He even had Theme Music.

Can you imagine Dave Barber calling Helen Glover, like he wasn't working at PRO? Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoyed Tony's calls to Allen on Saturdays, but I was amazed he was getting away with it.

People like Dave Kane and Peter Anthony can call any other show, because 'they 'are PAYING for their time.
Tony, Dan and the rest 'get' paid.
Ain't radio grand! ::) ::) :-*

I can understand why professionals (vets, lawyers, etc) would pay to have a talk show, but what benefits does a non-professional get out of paying to have a program. But, I ain't TOO smart! Splain to me WHY?????

Sure, Peter Anthony has stated he pays for the time, because he wants to be on the radio.
He feels WHJJ should have hired him.
I think it's totally crazy to pay for your own time. Peter is not really a host. I think he just wants to be heard. Hope that answers the question Mrs. Joy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
