Nice feature on one of our own: Mr. Larry Fuss

Nice write-up. I can't believe he runs it all from Las Vegas. That's some dedication. But it's also telling about the Delta, since he does mention how hard it is to gets sales people there. And the fact that no one finds any value in the web. How 19th Century, but that's the charm of the Delta, ain't it?

I thought there were just cotton fields and lots of them.
 
Larry Fuss is a real radio guy! He starts early and ends late everyday and continues to fight the fight. I have heard the search for sellers in The Delta is an on going battle with little to no success. Good luck Larry!

WKXY 92.1 in beautiful Merigold, MS, with a translator on 102.7 at the Cleveland studios. That's the first picture with Larry in front of his Axia console -- he runs a clean-and-tight studio operation.
 
What's it gonna take to try and bring these markets back to what they were? Is there enough business to warrant a real sales staff?
 
It's tough when your market doesn't understand the value of advertising.

It's tough to teach sales people how to be good sales people.

Lots of teaching all around. Much respect to Larry and others who stay dedicated to the business and seem to not ever give up.
 
I really enjoyed the write-up. It is always interesting to read stories about *real* radio folks still enjoying what they do.

Maybe that's why I am pursuing an LPFM. I'm a little too bored "on the beach."
