Nine Stations in Large to Medium Markets Have Flipped to Christmas Music

As we go into the first weekend of November, nine stations (not counting Christian AC outlets) have started airing Christmas music. As in years past, someone at Radio-Locator.com is keeping track. Click the "Looking for Holiday Music" button, surrounded by holly leaves and berries.

KESZ ... Phoenix
WGET - WHVR - WNUU ... York - Lancaster
WLIT ... Chicago
WMAG ... Greensboro - Winston-Salem - High Point
WMXL ... Lexington
WPBZ ... Albany - Schenectady - Troy
WSNY ... Columbus
WSPA ... Greensboro - Spartanburg
WTSS ... Buffalo

Interesting that all but one of the stations have W call letters. Eight of the nine are east of the Mississippi.

So far (7:50 P.M. EST November 10th) here in New England, only (to my knowledge) WSRS-96.1 in Worcester has gone all-Christmas. According to the website of WEZF-92.9 in Burlington, Vermont, that station will do so tomorrow (November 11th). Several other stations in New England and many others around the country may also take the plunge tomorrow. Among the latter, based on an announcement on their website, will be KODA-99.1 Houston.
