I'm pretty sure 1040 changed formats a few months ago. From what I heard, it was running classic country and old WKTI 1040 liners. So, I'd guess the automation equipment they used for WKTI 1040 is what they were using for the stunt (and probably what they'll be using for 93.1), and they probably just hadn't cleaned all the music and liners out.
Yeah, I'm kinda guessing WNOX 93.1 will probably be pretty music intensive with what jocks there are doing pre-recorded voicetracking, the way they'd been doing most shifts on Q93. I did notice from today's Ch. 6 news story that Mike Hammond mentioned that they were getting ready to hire more on air staff for the new Q100.3. I'd expect more money, more talent, and more live shifts on the Q, while 93.1 probably will get mostly voice tracked shifts from staffers.
