Anyone taking bets on ABC and Shannon flipping WPLJ oldies? Shannon programs True Oldies for ABC Radio, and WPLJ isn't much of a contender for anything. Ressurect the the WABC-FM calls, hire WCBS's heritage talent. Instant credibility in a market of 19 million.

This is a debate on the New York City board. I think it would be a smart move, even though I enjoy PLJ. What do they got to lose? The add $$$ is the issue.<P ID="signature">______________

I love Oldies a whole lot but not what WCBS played for the last five-ten years (as well as most others). It was about time Infinity gave up. Let someone else do it. NYC is not stupid. They'll bring it back on another station like WCBS was in the glory days. Ditching WCBS was exactly what the doctor ordered. However it's like having a shot to get it doen. It hurts a little. <P ID="signature">______________
