No More Super Songs of The 70's Weekend on KKMJ?

I was going home from work today (Friday) and I always listen to the Super Songs of The 70s. It was about 4:00pm today and I noticed they were playing Bryan Adams. I scanned left and right on my analogue walkman and didn't hear any liners nor nothing noting the 70s I just checked their website and it has no spot for the Super Songs of the 70s no notice given whatsoever. I did however find a station that is playing 70s all weekend right now and it is on 92.5 True Oldies Channel (station goes dead when I walk in the door) very weak signal at best. I hope if BMP continues the 70s weekend they move the station to 98.9 and put the talker on 92.5

Well this is sad to hear. Why would KKMJ ruin something that was good to listen to on the weekends? :(

If we call them and call them it might come back! I remember back in 1992 calling and pestering 96rock in San Antonio when 99.5 KISS returned and asked them to change format back to Q96, and Rikko said I don't know when you grow up. Months after my 18th birthday KSJL flipped to KXXM as a Top 40 format.

BMP has a application to move thier transmitter close in to downtown austin. the transmitter location now is 20 from austin. the burnet,tx 92.5 has a apllication to move 103.9 BMP is paying the burnet tx station to move frequencies (m & m broadcasting)

Sorry, wrong topic.

It was on topic. We were talkin about KXXS moving into Austin from Elgin and how the oldies format would partially fill the void left by the demise of KKMJ's all 70s weekends. The copy and paste spoke to the 92.5 in Burnet having to change frequency for Elgin's move-in to happen.

I was listening to 95.5 Today and they were playing it I looked at the website and they were playing the Super Songs of the 70s back on Friday 7/01/2011 at 6AM. Hopefully they will continue the 70s every weekend. It needs to come back. True Oldies Channel only did one 70s show.
