no satellite signal but strong terrestrial signal on XM

On my home XM system, I just started to view the antenna meter, I noticed the Satellite signal is very weak, only one or two bars at most, many times no bars, however, the Terrestrial signal is the full ten bars at all times. My Satellite reception is much better than the local FM's and HD's, which are poor. This is way down in the toxic pits of South Filthydelphia at the Reserve, you know the place everybody dumps their garbage under the orders of the liberal rat, Rendell and the rest of the corrupt City Dems. Oh, back to the topic, I never knew Satellite radio used local antennas, where is the XM antenna located, the antenna farm, Liberty One, any thoughts....

XM and/or Sirius have dozens and dozens of ground repeaters all across the city (practically all metro areas, actually). You can find maps of their locations if you play with Google long enough. Without ground repeaters, you would never be able to hear XM/SIRI in any city between the tall buildings, underpasses, etc.

Try the satellite radio message boards here.
