Alan, my remark about WGSK were off base. Sorry. A little quick at the key when I read your post about no one really caring. I can't help the spelling, a learning disability with reading certain keys on the keyboard, so, please put up with the spelling. I do worship the 77 watts...i worship any signal, AM or FM. I think that to many signals today are wasted. Robin Hood Radio is wall to wall music. New, independent artists, some of the older music, and established AAA artists. We have tried to make robinhoodradio.com sound like a radio station on the internet...not an internet radio station. We have invested in processing equipment, a 128 kb signal, and all as a 501 (c)(3) that pays no wages, a station that has underwriting to support the investment made to make it possible. There are no other motives for robinhoodradio.com other than to offer somthing that is clean, different, and jsut a little upbeat. We offer podcasts on certain programs, some nice prizes, and over 50 minutes of music every hour. A latino show on the weekends, two bigh band segments, blues, and more. We also invested in a website that we update and change frequently. After five months, we have about 5,000 unique listeners..not huge, but its growing every month. If I offended you with my comments, it was just a reaction to your, does anyone care comment! Yes, some people really do care. Come up and take a look at my operation...its not perfect, but I think youll find it interesting..I'll even buy lunch! As for Paul, well,
yes, I have been fired twice, but I have been hired eight other times! I have more people who respect me in the business, than who don't. it's not a business that everyone will love you or what you do. But I digress. Robin Hood won't be on the old WKZE...It will be a mix of lots of live broadcasts on-location, news, and talk shows, Democracy Now at noon, some block program music, local sports, and lots of local anouncements on whats happening in the area. Irt will also be operated with underwriting, as it is part of our 501 (c)(3) non profit corporation. We must be doing something right..in three years we have raised over 300,000 in donations and grants, all invested in new, digital equipment. Alan, when your are in the area, stop by, I will show you the operation. Who knows, you might find it interesting to look at, if not to listen to! Paul, you can stay home until you learn how to behave like an adult.
