Normally the Hasbro radiothon bores me to no end. I look forward this year!

Thank you God for two days of NO MORE Obama health care. I am so SICK and tired of this non stop health care talk. This radiothon will be a welcomed change. The one show killer used to be "abortion". Now I think it's "health care". When is enough, enough? Dan Yorke's feigned sincerity will actually be welcomed.

My post is in no way meant to a slam to the noble work of the Hasbro Hospital. JUST shut up about Obama health care. My bet, DiPetro will work it in.

May the hospital raise a great deal of money.
 
I donate every year to thins but you know what is pissing me off more this year. I know I have been a broken record about this canned out of town bull crap being spoon fed to us over the airways but this is just another example of how its hurting the local community.

Up until this year Hot 106 took part in the radiothon along with all the citidel stations.... Where were they this year?? Oh thats right, no local talant..especially in the morning with that big boy garbage.. So now that loss of audiance can potentially lead to less funds raised for the kids.

Its sickening!!!
 
I do not find it boring. In fact, I am amazed at the various disorders and diseases. Human and animal medicine is my first interest .

The fundraiser brings us down to reality, like farming, touching the ground, this is touching the lives of many who suffer, many are cured, many lives are prolonged. The same for our recent Veterans, suffering from loss of limbs, brain damage etc. This is reality.

When someone complains about it being too hot, cold, rainy, snowy, I just tell them, thank whatever you believe in that you are not suffering.

This is life, this is reality. All of us need this jolt every once and a while.

Oh, and Dan and Matt are the most sincere hosts.
 
So then, the radiothon ends and some fill in guy for Matt opens the show and whats his topic? Obama health care!! I laughed my ass off. They just can't talk about anything else. I just can't take them any longer.

Hot does have local talent after morning drive. Consider that they may have found their audience may be less apt to sit through a radiothon.
 
I wonder if the topic of the priests in Europe will be discussed. WTKK is certainly discussing the issue.

For some reason Rhode Islanders do not touch the topic, abortion, yes, perhaps it drives more listeners to the host and show. But, pedophilia kills the spirit, minds of its victims, for many for life. This topic is not touched, how about tobie coming clean, about Pittsburgh and also the files in Rhode Island and bishop jelly what he knew and the records. I think the topic would take off.
