Notice News10NBC is running short on reporters

Boy, that can't keep reporters and let them grow for nothing. Jessica Weinstein recently left. I've been seeing Nikki Rudd report a lot in addition to her weekend desk job. Deanna King has been the only reporter on the weekends. I am not feeling Lila Carney yet. We will see if she pans out. Lynette Adams is on mornings, Ray Levato is 5 and 6, and Berkeley Brean seems like the only flexible one. I hope they don't turn into Channel 8.

i spotted Jessica Weinstein on WGRZ, nbc affiliate in buffalo. He bio isnt on their site yet but I was watching it and see her on there quite a bit.

I've watched WHEC news since I was a kid, but their standards lately have just plummeted. At times, they come across little more than a television tabloid.

Like two weeks ago, their first two stories. One was about the fast ferry and in his report, Berkeley admits that what he's telling us are just rumors that they yet to confirm. In the second story, Ray-Lo is showing us video of an SUV that they say they think (they think!) was the one that killed Bertina Ford. What do they do with this footage? They show it to her dad! Why? What's the point? What could he possibly offer?

Just awful.

Unfortunately most TV news operations have gone the route of "entertainment" versus real news. I personally could care less about the T-shirt of the week, or watching a news anchor learn to dance.

I saw that segment and it played with viewers on that one. I thought they had a big story and they knew just as much as the viewers did. And yeah, like yourself, I have been a longtime TV-10 viewer and their news have really slipped. They should go back to telling the weather in the first ten minutes at 6pm. it's frustrating to see the 7 day forecast at around 6:18.

BTW, anybody seen that blooper yesterday when Chris Gloninger was telling the weather at the weather wall, and he realized he forgot his clicker, and he told the viewers and walked back to the anchor desk to get it. LOL It's an honest mistake, he's still young and learning.

Isn't this the same station that didn't have a ND for like 6 months or so? Perhaps it is not surprising that their standards have slipped without any leadership?

What got me was how transparent they were making the fact that they were just guessing about it.
