Settle down there, RANDY!! Yea, BLI has the signal and comes in the Jersey Shore clear almost every night, and yes, it may show Party on the bottom of the ratings BUT are they broke? Are they getting national ads on their station? As long as they are getting the bills and staff paid, they are doing just fine.

buuuuuut its clear you are not working for a station right now, or have anytime really, as you do not have any correct stats, facts, ppm breakdowns etc.

I have never worked for a station;
if you must know, I passed on offers from pre-New Wave WLIR(Mike Harrison) in the early 70s, and the mid 70s WBAB(Marc Allan era) as their 'rock news' reporter;
I have had engaging periods of interaction with Cousin Brucie Morrow, the late Murray the K, the 70s WBAB era(Kathy Cunningham,Joel Martin, Bernie Bernard,etc), I was the welcome to NY mat for Scott Shannon when he landed at Z100 at the dawn of the 8os, and watched(and sometimes counciled the young Vic"the" Latino from his early days at WSHR ,Sachem,through his KTU period...
I have been a (sometimes valuable) accessory item to radio through the decades, BACK WHEN RADIO MATTERED!
....and who are you again?

Interesting, as I was only offered the Operations Managers Position for Z100 in the 80s with Scott in 1987, Put on a LA Station with Scott as Operations Manager and was later Consulted Z100.

Glad to know you were impressed with the work that I was a part of.

Again, another post that shows how little you know.

I welcomed Shannon to NY when "Every Breath YouTake " by The Police was a hit and Z100 had no ratings,and popped up frequently on the morning show
Ross Brittain could verify that;
by 1987, Shannon had already become disiilusioned with NY, and "Pirate Radio" L.A. was right around the corner;
ask Anita Bonita, who was there from the beginning and frequents this board, she'll tell you all about it;
or better yet, ask Shannon...
someone joining Z100 in 87,after all the heavy lifting had been done years ago?
