Looks like Tommy G of NJ101.5 is all over the place these days. I listen to the station and he's a good guy and a good listen. This was on the front of today's radio - info so I went to find the story in today's NY Daily News.

Making Moves: Tuesday Morning
After a quiet holiday weekend in radio news, the big rumor is that Clear Channel will simulcast Z100, New York morning man Elvis Duran in the now-vacant morning slot at WIOQ "Q102" Philadelphia, with the release of Booker last Friday ... VARTV.com reports that Russ Devries will be the new GM at Mainline Broadcasting's Richmond 3-station cluster. He was with Raycom Media's WTVR-TV Richmond - which Raycom's spinning off ... PRI's nightly talk show "Fair Game", hosted by Faith Salie, will cease this Friday, with the show being canceled after 17 months. It's been heard on non-com WNYC-AM (820) New York and about two dozen other stations across the country ... The New York Daily News reports that overnight talker Tom Gordon - "Tommy G" - heard on WKXW (101.5), Trenton, is one of three brothers behind the soon-to-be-released "RoboDoc" flick, starring Alan Thicke. The screenplay was written by Gordon's two brothers who are doctors in Florida. They've all done writing for radio. ...

My favorite line from the trailer:

"Is there a hidden camera around here somewhere?"-Alan Thicke

I think I'll put this up there with the Stuttering John film.

I LOVE TOMMY G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Last night everyone was loving Tommy G. call after call.

I lost power around 11 PM due to the almost hurricane winds that occured during those bad thunderstorms and the station that was live and local and giving the most instant information that time of night was NJ101.5. I tuned around the dial on my little back up radio and everyone else had nothing, syndicated programs or very little information. Tommy G reassured everyone that PSE&G JCP&L and First Energy were out trying to restore power as quickly as possible. I wish all stations were live and local 24 hours a day so they can respond to situations like this. Isn't that what's serving the community is all about ?
