From the news page of www.Radio-info.com:
Arbitron's got a bigger PPM problem in New York than it first realized
Last week it announced that a data entry problem – transposed columns of population numbers – would delay the release of the April PPM book for New York, and May Week 1. Now Arbitron says it reviewed all its other meter markets “and found no other instances of transpositions.” But – “our review also found that the transposition, which occurred during preparation of for October 2008 report processing, appears to have affected New York audience estimates for the Holiday 2008 through March 2009 report sufficiently to warrant the issuance of revised audience estimates” for those books. Though October, November and December 2008 “appear not to have been materially affected.” Therefore – Arbitron will have revised PPMs for Holiday 2008, January, February and March 2009 on Monday, June 8.
Just to review, the specific dates for the affected reports to be revised are:
Holiday 2008 Thu. 12/11/08 to Wed. 1/7/09
January 2009 Thu. 1/8/09 to Wed. 2/4/09
February 2009 Thu. 2/5/09 to Wed. 3/4/09
March 2009 Thu. 3/5/09 to Wed. 4/1/09
April 2009 Thu. 4/2/09 to Thu. 4/29/09
The dates for the minimally affected reports run from Thu. 9/18/08 to Wed. 12/10/08 for the three month period.
Holiday 2008 included Holiday music on WCBS-FM & WLTW; March 2009 included the format switch on WXRK-FM-92.3 from "K-Rock" to "92.3 Now FM" on Wed. 3/11/09.
