O"Reilly and Savage out at WNOX, Levin and Hannity in

I personally think Hannity is going to overtake Rush before too long and become the Nation's Top Talk Show.

But Levin is an interesting choice. Both he and Savage can be quite obnoxious, but with Savage you have this sort of tent-preacher "Hellfire and Brimstone" speech that I think is more entertaining than Levin's rudeness.
 
I haven't heard anything,was just curious who is the PD of Newstalk 100 since Scott Simon was canned last year and is Phill now producing is own show?? I think his producer guy originally was Chad Simmons.
 
I think Savage's show sucks. Damn near unlistenable for me. Even the bumper music is poorly edited. Oh and the accent just killed me.

Hannity's show is good, but it's on 3-6pm eastern. So I'm guessing it won't be carried live. But then, I don't think either Savage or O'Rielly's shows were aired live on WNOX.
 
Savage is one of those things you either love or hate. I actually listen quite often, since we can get WNOX up this way. I suppose I can listen online, now.
 
Sigh... I remember when talk stations didn't shove the same political view down your throat all day long. O'Rielly, Savage, Hannity, Levin.... really, what's the difference?

Mike Hammond is the PD. Again. And again. And again. The god of radio. He'll tell you so.
 
When I left WNOX, Savage was live 6-9pm (he is 3-6pm Pacific). Before Scott got to Knoxville, Savage was delayed an hour for SportsTalk (before the Animal) and for "The Big Picture" after the Animal.

I am no Savage fan, but the numbers in the last book before I left were damn strong once he was moved to live. I may not have liked the show, but a lot of people did and Scott was damn right in making that move.
 
You'll most likely see more and more of this across the country as ABC and Citadel merge in the next few weeks. Where possible, ABC shows will move to Citadel stations. Where shows are contracted out to other-owned stations, they'll move to Citadel stations in most cases once contracts expire.
 
Hannity puts me to sleep and when Levin comes on and wakes me up, I just puke.
