I have a better idea. Instead of sitting in the Oval Office to tell the American people about another action plan that isn't going to work, hop on a plane and fly to South Africa for some World Cup action. Don't pre-empt any more prime time shows for this guy.

You might be right. All we hear about are the bits of success in getting the oil onto the tankers while oil continues to gush. We don't hear anything about how it is being cleaned up, or how many approvals BP gave for requested supplies to keep it from trashing the country. On the other side we hear all about who is beating up BP and how it is going to affect them politically, whether it is right politically or wrong politically. The time for words has long passed.
For all the good the press time will do about the actual problem, we might as well listen to 15 minutes of
vuvuzela honking at the World Cup.
I bet BP gasoline will have some problems with fuel line freeze-ups this coming winter....oh, never mind, it's salt water .
Make that fuel line rust-outs.
From the Oval Office at least we don't have to hear about the history of Sheila Jackson Lee's special seat on the aisle, or the reason for the outfits that people in the gallery are wearing, or any of the other slobbering and drooling that occurs with these meaningless speeches.
And yep, BP gas will be causing a great deal of damage to cars I have no doubt.
Heard this morning on WGN that BP is not going to be "BP" anymore. Wonder what the heck they're gonna call it?
The Brits aren't too happy about it, apparenty....
