Obit: Alvaro Sanchez-Cifuentes @ 70...radio host loyal to Cuba, not to Castro

Spanish-language radio commentator Alvaro Sánchez-Cifuentes, whose controversial positions often raised the ire of Miami's Cuban exile community, died Friday at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
He was 70.

The Cuban-born Sánchez-Cifuentes was one of the featured commentators on Radio Miami, which aired on weekdays at 6 a.m. on WOCN 1450 AM.

He had suffered from a heart attack and was hospitalized on Monday, according to Max Lesnik, director of Radio Miami.
