Dunne, in addition to his TV host duty was also a former Hollywood producer and Vanity Fair reporter. In early TV work,he was a stage manager for the "Howdy Doody Show" and later for "Robert Montgomery Presents."

He now joins his daughter Dominique up in heaven. Dominique Dunne was murdered around 1983. The Dominique Dunne case was spotlighted on 20 Most Notorious Hollywood Murder on E! Ironically the show aired for the trillionth time tonite from 8-10.
