A good radio guy who'd finish his public service gig in New York City on Friday afternoons and no matter the weather, head north to Glens Falls, New York to pull weekend shifts on WENU FM 101.7.
He, as did I, loved the Adirondacks and we both worked for WIPS-AM 1250 in Ticonderoga. Alas, like much of the region, unless your a bear or an inmate, theres not much for you, so we both ended up in South Jersey, working the adult contemporary gig at WWBZ-AM.
I headed to Florida; he stayed, returning to serve with the local school board helping kids who needed a helping hand. Thanks, bud. I ll raise a glass or two for ya. Rest well
