How very sad! Mr. Forsythe's character Dr. Stewart was truly a fantastic man. He played the role of Dr. Stewart for over 30 years I belive, alongside Patricia Bruder as his wife Ellen. Sadly David was killed off in the early '90s and Ellen was written out a few years later in favor of a bunch of insipid kids who couldn't act and didn't last a year on the show...Oh wait, how do I know this? :)

I also saw Mr. Forsythe in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." He played the sheriff and was great - a very different portrayl than Burt Reynolds in the movie.
