Mary Gay Taylor, a veteran City Hall reporter for WCBS-AM radio, died yesterday at her home in Bondville, Vt. She was 71.
The cause was recurrent breast cancer, said her sister, Peggy Boyle. In more than 30 years at WCBS, Ms. Taylor covered four New York City mayors.
During the terror attack of Sept. 11, 2001, Ms. Taylor rushed to cover the disaster.
