Maurice (Maury) Hill...died July 12 in Los Angeles of heart complications. He was 89. Hill created the character of Captain Hayward in "Space Patrol," initially starring and eventually doubling as a writer for the series.
He appeared in TV series including a recurring role in "Alice," "Dragnet" and "Murder She Wrote."
