Obit: Mike Road, Sheriff Tom Sellers on "Buckskin", at 95

Also very memorable as the authoritative voice of "Race" Bannon in Hanna-Barbera's JONNY QUEST; performed in other animated series as well. R.I.P., Mr. Road; you won't be forgotten.

I also remember him as the voice of Command Central in Drake-Chenault's 1980 48 hour radio marathon broadcast, Satcon 1, which presented an illusionary satellite concert from 12 cities around the world. This was the idea that concerts would be broadcast via satellite around the world. We saw that realized in the Who's 1982 Final Concert, Asia's Live in Asia concert in 1983, and the world famous 1985 Live Aid Concert as well as many broadcasts on the internet. This show was one that was ahead of its time.

Just stumbled upon your post - thank you for the kind words re: Satcon 1.
I produced that show for Drake-Chenault back in '80 - wish it had been well-received at the time, but oh well!
