Obit: Phillip Carey at 83...Starred in "Larado" and "One Life To Live"

Re: Obit: Phillip Carey at 83...Starred in "Larado" and "One Life To Live"

This is really ironic. Two of the Buchanans have
passed away in the past week (Clint Ritchie, who
played Clint Buchanan, now Phil Carey, who played
Asa Buchanan); leaving only Robert Woods (Bo)
(I refuse to accept Jerry Ver Dorn as Clint). This
must be a traumatic time for the cast and crew of
"One Life To Live."

Phil Carrey reminded me lots of one of my favorite uncles. Especially his role of Asa . He played that role to a t. Phil, Clint, And Robert all are very close off screen . Lets all remember these actors families and Robert Woods in your prayers. He has lost 2 of his best friends and not even a week apart.

I don't remember another instance where actors playing parent and child (like Carey and Ritchie) died in real life in such a close span of time. Few male soap characters married more often than 'Asa' did, either.

Well I guess this means 1 less at the bar in Llanview for bourbon 'n branch...
