The broadcaster died Monday night after a battle with colon cancer. His career included stops at the former WCAU-AM, as well as WHAT-AM and most recently WURD-AM. He also hosted "Black Perspective on the News" on WHYY-TV, and even produced short films for the PBS series "Sesame Street."
