THIS PROGRAM HAD UNIVERSAL APPEAL(as much as its universal ministry)

One of my most favorite children's programs in the 1960s. I grew up in that era when we still had a little bit of innocence left in our pop culture. A Mountain Dew ad which aired a few years ago featued the Clokey-animated characters and was a light hearted tribute.

It was a great show. I used to watch it in black and white and always enjoyed the stories and learned much from them as a kid. It showed a real living faith in Jesus that a kid could relate to. It also showed that even though Davy was a Christian, he could mess up, as he was human, and could also get forgiveness from Christ. Explained in language and actions that a kid could relate to. Kind of like a "Christian Sesame Street".
