Obit: Scott 'Bam Bam' Bigelow, 45; retired heavyweight TV wrestler @ 45

Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow, 45, the tattooed heavyweight professional TV wrestler, was found dead Friday in his Hudson, Fla., home, said his brother Todd Bigelow.

Preliminary autopsy results showed no signs of foul play, but a cause of death will not be known until toxicology tests are completed in a few weeks...Bigelow had been struggling with a persistent infection and diabetes, his brother said.

He wrestled with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and pro football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor during his two decades as a sports entertainer.

This really sucks. He was found in his Florida home several days ago. I was in Hartford for "WWE WrestleMania XI" on April 2, 1995. I also saw Bigelow on an ECW show here in New Britain, CT in the 90s. He moved quite well for a man of his size, I must say. It's sad how many wrestlers die in this business. One look at him and it's obviously not from steroids. Regardless, R.I.P. Mr. Bigelow. :(
