Observations of Monday 10/5 Cable News Ratings...

It appears the latest entrant into the prime time cable news talk fray, HLN's Joy Behar, while not setting the world on fire at this point, is stealing some viewers away from her own sister network's Larry King, and even Rachel Maddow. On Monday night, Maddow had roughly twice as much viewers as Behar. As far as King, it appears that his show, as well as every single CNN show between the hours of 6 to 11 PM, came in third place behind Fox News and MSNBC. Even Ed Schultz on MSNBC finished slightly ahead of the third hour of "The Situation Room" on Monday, which is a rarity.

My brother is convinced Joy Behar is being groomed as Larry King's replacement when that day becomes necessary. She's done a good job those times she's filled in for him.

While I'm a fan of MSNBC, it is a bit sad that the CNN runs third to the two partisan news stations. I suppose viewers want the debate slanted to their point of view.
