ODD SHOWS WE WATCH (EXTREME COUPONING-TODDLERS & TIARAS-RU PAUL, ETC.)

There is just something about these odd shows that draws interest.

Extreme Couponing: It's fun to watch someone spend 40 hours clipping coupons to get
get $600 worth of groceries (including 150 tubes of toothpaste) for $6 or less. It gives
a whole new meaning to robbing Kroger. This show is quite civil when compaired to........

Ru Paul's Drag Race/Drag U: Not that big a fan of Drag U, but the train wreck on the Drag
Race makes for some strange TV. It's like LOST IN SPACE with drag queens. How can you
not help but watch this beyond belief show?

Toddlers & Tiaras: Just full of spoiled, bratty little girls (usually) and their over weight stage
pushing mothers set on making the next Britney Spears. This show sheds a whole new light
on how not to raise your children. However, this week they had a boy who enjoyed doing
pageants (yes they have boy contestants also). The small boy was quite the DIVA, and it was
nice to see his parents were 100% supportive and behind him. He was the only boy, but he won
the contest over EVERYBODY. They gave him a boy and a DIVA crown!

What other bizarre shows are out there?

I've worked in retail since 2001 and wanted to see this show, but right before the show came on the air I had to downgrade my cable and TLC was one of the channels I lost.

Anyway I just heard one of the people on this show was arrested for stealing the coupon inserts out of the Sunday paper. This I applaud. Every store I've worked for (except Walmart) sold newspapers and every Sunday the newspaper display looks like hell because of the people digging through the papers to steal the coupons. Like they can't afford $1.75 for the Sunday paper.

Horrible. Just freaking horrible. It's child abuse in my opinion to have your child in those competitions. Every time they talk about that little girl from Colorado who was murdered I think "She looks like a little prostitute.".

I only know about these shows because of E! Network's The Soup when they ridicule the Hell out of them. Whenever Joel McHale shows a clip from Toddlers & Tiaras I am usually left speechless and really debating the advancement of the human species.

Or rather, $1.75 each -- no doubt there are some unscrupulous die-hards who are looking for multiple-copies of the coupons. And lest we forgot the ones who put enough money in the newspaper machine for one copy, then take several.

I think some papers are now sealing the Sunday editions in baggies, to keep crooks from stealing its contents.

since the show came out where i work ive noticed ppl in my area wanting any extras for coupons, so they can be on that show lol

As bad as some may think these shows are, they're actually in the top tier of their
network's shows. I'm not sure what that says though.

Bravo has some weird ones too. Flipping Out and Million Dollar Agents or whatever
it is called, can sometimes be off the wall also.

These shows should only exist on National Geographic's Taboo. . How about Man Vs. Food. about Adam Richman doing eating contests. I thought the USA has a huge obesity problem why push this eating contests here. Or A&E's hoarders where people have garbage in the house.

"World's Funniest Moments" is pretty odd. It started out on My Network and the My Network station in my area runs it. Mostly it's stupid videos from the Internet (I never watch that stuff online), though some of it is brilliant.
