O'Donnell Jumps From NBC News To CBS... Norah O'Donnell, That Is

I suppose there were too many O'Donnells in the NBC News kitchen... ::)

Not only has she been named CBS' new chief White House correspondent (Chip Reid now becomes a national correspondent), but she will also be Bob Schieffer's primary substitute on "Face The Nation."

Interestingly, this comes on the heels of Katie Couric' departure. Then again, if she couldn't save "The CBS Evening News," no sense handing her the "Face" franchise.

To anyone who only use last names in the names of topics similar to this, I would suggest using both first and last names. More people share the same last names than the same full names. It may not adhere to the styles of most news writers, but I'd rather be helpful when it comes to first impressions.

The reason why the thread title is worded that way is because I had neglected to put a first name on the title of this thread, and didn't hear the end of it. So it's actually a callback to the thread that I linked.
