Variety Hits would seem logical, but is it really doing well enough in markets like Portland and Greensboro (Entercom) to warrant trying it? And would it overlap with WROQ and WSPA? I guess it's always a possibility.
Has the decision to shut Greenstone down been announced over the air yet? Good to see some activity going on in the GSP market...I didn't think it'd last a year.
GREAT NEWS! Finally, Entercom will be forced to do something different with WGVC.
They had a 0.0 in the last ratings book, I'm curious to see what the new ratings will look like when they come out on Thursday.
I still think Oldies/Classic Hits is the way to go. My 102.5 plays alot of 70's and classic hits type music. Entercom would be taking listeners from their biggest competitor, which would have to help Magic 98.9.
Yeah, no doubt Oldies/Classic Hits is the best way to go. I think it could be done without hurting Magic, but they'd have to be careful. What about Cooper Lawrence and Dr. Joy, though? They aren't Greenstone....I guess they COULD always stay female talk and just fill in where the Greenstone programming aired. I doubt they'd try that, though....just get out of those two shows somehow and drop the whole thing entirely.

The no-brains at CC have been doing a fine job of undoing My 102.5 for the past six months anyway. Just check out the numbers when they come out this week.
