OK..what exactly is going on with Hot 107.1? Who should pay the ticket?

A group of us had went out to dinner at a pizza place on South Broadway near the so-called Sports Castle. Next door was a bar thar had some kind of promotion with Hot 107.1. Anyway halfway into our dinner some people from HOT 107.1 had came into the restaurant calling themselves as "Zach & Kris" from KDHT screaming at the customers inside the restaurant saying that they are from HOT 107.1 "..Denver's number one radio station " and that anyone parked in front of the bar next door would be towed because THAT space is reserved by Denver's number ONE radio station HOT 107 ONE !!!". "Zach" went on to say that the space was needed for HOT 107.1 for their hummer so that everyone on Broadway could see who they are. And this was on Broadway, last I checked a Denver PUBLIC street. Anyway the woman I was with said...well it would not pass the censors here....well anyway she had pretty much ignored HOT 107.1's request.

After dinner she went out to the street only to discover that HOT 107.1 actually had her car towed to Sherman street some blocks away...and to top of all that the city of Denver gave HER a parking ticket for her car being illegally parked by HOT 107.1!! Needless to say she was mad.

I told her told her to contact Max Media/Hot 107.1 to tell them what happened only to get "..we are the number one station in town baby..don't YOU forget it..we have the power to tow any car we like..we are better than anyone else...Denver doesn't allow media cars to be ticketed and we have the power" Whatever !!!

But the woman I was with is still stuck with the ticket. Should she should pay for it or should she fight HOT 107.1 and have THEM pay for the ticket?
 
If they bagged the meter and you parked there anyway you are pretty much out of luck. If it wasn't bagged then you have a case and take it up with the city. Towed a few blocks away and not to the impound? Seems wierd.
 
For sure. Sue em. 107.1's staff are a bunch of loud mouths with low ratings. # 1? in what? Being obnoxious? Barely a top 10 18-34 station. Just stupid. Get a lawyer.
