Oklahoma City television and radio icon Danny Williams dies

The memorial service for Danny will be at the Oklahoma History Center at 2 p.m. Sunday. Doors will open at Noon. KFOR-TV will stream the service on their web site. They have produced a 20 minute tribute video that will run before and after the service. Danny was a big fan of the history center. We have his 3D Danny costume and the replica of Bazark and other memorbelia on display in the main lobby.

was williams still on-air until his death? i think he left the morning show a couple of years ago and they put him somewhwere else on koma.

Danny retirted from KOMA-FM in 2008. He continued to do pre-recorded bits in the morning show for about a year follwoing his retirement. He made several appearances at the Oklahoma History Center during the run of the Rock n Roll exhibit.
