Oldest Classic Television Series with All the Major Cast Members Still Alive.

With the recent deaths of such TV Icons such as Don Knotts, Dennis Weaver, Al Lewis, Bob Denver and Buck Owens, to name a few, I was wondering what is the oldest classic television show in which all the major cast members are still alive. The two oldest I could think of were "Happy Days" until the recent death of Pat Morita (Arnold) just a few months ago, and "WKRP in Cincinnati" until Gordon Jump (Mr. Carlson) died a year or so ago. The only other series I can think of is possibly "The Bob Newhart Show", but were his patients such as Mr. Carlson and Mr. Petersen considered major cast members?

A few of the oldest TV shows that I can think of right now with the most cast members living would have to be:

The Mary Tyler Moore Show:(debuted in 1970)

Mary Tyler Moore
Ed Asner
Gavin McLeod
Valerie Harper
Cloris Leachman
Betty White
Georgia Engel
Joyce Bulifant

The Partridge Family:(debuted in 1970)

Shirley Jones
David Cassidy
Susan Dey
Danny Bonaduce
Jeremy Gelbwaks(first Chris)
Brian Forster(second Chris)
Suzanne Crough
Dave Madden

The Brady Bunch:(debuted in 1969)

Florence Henderson
Barry Williams
Christopher Knight
Mike Lookinland
Maureen McCormick
Eve Plumb
Susan Olsen
Ann B. Davis

According to the Brooks-Marsh book, they are mentioned as regulars because they were frequently seen more than the other patients Bob had. Also John Fielder who played Mr. Petersen passed away in 2004.

Here's are the people still alive from the Bob Newhart Show:

Bob Newhart
Suzanne Pleshette
Bill Daly
Marcia Wallace
Peter Bonerz
Jack Riley

I knew that several of the actors that played his patients, such as John Fielder as Mr. Petersen and Noam Pitlik as Mr. Gianelli, were dead, I didn't know if they were considered MAJOR CAST MEMBERS.

Before Pat Morita died recently, Happy Days would have definitely qualified as probably the oldest show with all major cast members still alive. Even Al Molinaro is still alive (at 86), but has disappeared from the public light.

I can't really think of any classic TV show where all the major players are still with us, at least off the top of my head.

Leave it to Beaver would fit possibly as one of the oldest: If I remember correctly it debuted in 1957:

Barbara Billingsley (June Cleaver)
Jerry Mathers (Beaver)
(Wally)can't remember his real name
Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell)

But the thread is not oldest telvision series with MOST cast members still living, but the Oldest Television Series with ALL MAJOR CAST MEMBERS STILL LIVING, which, with the exception of MAYBE "The Partridge Family", disqualifies "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"(Ted Knight), "The Brady Bunch"(Robert Reed) and "Leave It to Beaver"(Hugh Beaumont, Richard Deacon).

How about "The Monkees"?

Some others with casts intact are "The Facts of Life," "Family Ties," "Cosby Show," "One Day at a Time," "Columbo," "Golden Girls," "Magnum PI," "Moonlighting," "Miami Vice," "Remington Steele," "Adam-12."

(I cheated by looking at TV Land's Top 100 list...)

Wally was played by Tony Dow.

All those are good except Adam-12, The man who played Sergeant Macdonald, William Boyett, died a couple of years ago. What about I Dream of Jeannie, Barbara Eden (GREAT LEGS) still alive, Larry Hagman still alive, Bill Daily still alive, but I just remembered Dr. Bellows, (Hayden Rorke)deceased. Homer says D'OH

"Lookinland" looks like the name of a)an amusement park or b)someplace more mature IYKWIM. :-O

Not quite a TV "series", but all 5 cast members of the Carol Burnett Show (debuted 1967) are still with us.
Carol Burnett
Harvey Korman
Vicki Lawrence
Lyle Waggoner
Tim Conway

As for "Moonlighting" (ABC 1985-89), I think Vincent Schiavelli was on that show a few times and is now dead. Come to think of it, wasn't the guy who played Bruce Willis' brother on the show also dead now, too? As for other classic shows, do "Miami Vice" (NBC 1984-89) and "Family Ties" (NBC 1982-89) count? You can't count "Cheers" (NBC 1982-93) since Coach (Nicholas Colasanto) died after the first season. Dolph Sweet of "Gimme A Break!" (NBC 1982-87) died around 1985. The major names from "Married: With Children" (FOX 1987-97) are all still with us.
______________

According to IMDB, Schiavelli was on Moonlighting only once (likely married to Allyce Beasley at the time). Ditto for Charles Rocket, on maybe once or twice. If we're going to get nit-picky about guest stars, the list will dwindle quickly.

Actually, his one guest shot on Moonlighting was when Schiavelli met Beasley.

I don't remember where I know this from; it might have been an interview with Allyce on one of the documentary "special features" on the Moonlighting DVD box set.
______________

...depends on how you define "classic." If by that you mean a TV series that was widely syndicated in reruns after the first-run network screenings, off the top of my head I'd have to think "I Spy" would be it, with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby still active today (I haven't checked the other responses yet). If you mean a series that could arguably be a landmark of sorts in TV history, it would be the first of two series under the title "Studs' Place," which ran on NBC in 1949; it was a comic monologue series set in a Chicago tavern and the only regular was Studs Terkel, still chuggin' along in his 90s...
______________

That would be Tony Dow

Beaver, like the Brady Bunch, doesn't count. Hugh Beaumont, Ward Cleaver, died in 1982.

How about Art Linkletter from "People Are Funny" (1954),
Clint Walker & L.Q. Jones from "Cheyenne" (1955) and
Gene Barry from "Bat Masterson" (1958)???
