See, here is something I dont think some people realize. Satellite brings nothing new to the table other than things that were made great on terrestrial radio. Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony. Other than that, Satellite's worst nightmare is the iPod.
Cable television brought new programming or reruns of beloved shows. Satellite is $10-$12 (not including hardware) of music without commercials. Otherwise, your iPod. And your iPod GUARANTEES YOU you wont hear a song that sucks.
XM and Sirius will not be profitable until they merge, and even then they are going to have trouble. Wait until a company brings INTERNET into your car, that provides internet radio, web capabilities, etc...and THEN you've got a terrestrial radio killer.
Satellite radio is not a threat. End of story.
