Hi South Central Pa,
I lived most of adult life in Philadelphia, but grew up in Shamokin Pa. I think that Oldies 1620 is a great fanastic oldies station. Is this just an internet station or can you receive the station on you radio if your dial goes up that far.
Back in the late 1980's did WOYK AM1350 have an oldies album. Some of some of the song were on the album were Lipstick Traces by the O'jays and Piece of Mind by the Mag Men. Did this album exist and if it did what were the rest of songs on the album, and were could I purchase one.
Here are some memories during the 1970's when my family would go down to Park City in Lancaster Shopping, I always would listen to WLAN 1390 and WKBO 1230.
In the early 1980's once in a while a take my girlfriend back in School in Carisle on a Sunday afternoon. I listened to WIOO AM 1000. That Sunday afternooon they had two syndicated shows: Soundtrack of the 60's with Gary Owens and Dick Clark's Rock, Roll and Remember.
In early 1984 on Friday afternoon WOYK AM 1350 had on Wolfman Jack's Graffti Gold. I thought it was an odd time for a show as this. A short time later the switched to the Big Band Nostalgic Format.
In Late 1987 I made a trip to York and discovered both WKBO AM 1230 and WCMB AM 1460 were both running satellite oldies formats.
Last in the late 80's did WLAN 1390 and WOYK 1350 switched to an oldies format.
Thank you for your time and listening to me.
