Oldies on the Radio are back at KYAA AM 1200 Santa Cruz/Monterey, Ca.

Looking for Oldies of the 50's & 60's -- KYAA AM 1200 located on the Central California coast in the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay Area, is broadcasting once again, all the early music you grew up with. Re-live those fabulous hits that have so many great memories attached to them! I tuned them in from Las Vegas in the morning around Sunrise, at 6 AM. Oh they fade out, but again the signal comes roaring back in, around Sunset, until they cut the transmitter power for the evening to protect WOAI in Texas. The program director says he's planning to expand the music playlist to around 2000 hits. I agree with him and wish the station great success. It's great having the original oldies playing on a broadcast AM station, :D on the car radio. Tune in and see if you don't agree.

It's about freakin' time that radio stations have at least a four-figure playlist. I even think 2,000 is a little lame, but it's a step in the right direction!

This could be great news! I surfed through the KYAA web page and didn't see anything that suggested they play music from the '50s. But I'll listen for awhile................. hope I hear some.
