Like last Sunday, Fox switched many areas to the Panthers-Jets game, because the Bears-Eagles game was a blowout. Does this happen often?

I saw it on CBS two weeks ago, when the Bengals-Broncos game got close, they left the Patriots-Raiders game to go to the Bengals-Broncos game.
btw: Minneapolis did not leave the Philly/Chicago game until it was over. I guess because Vikes & Bears are same division they kept us with that game.
yes. All that means is the locals HAVE to carry all the road games. But aren't Baltimore and Washington secondary markets of each other?
upon further review apparently they are NOT secondary markets of each other
Week 11
Baltimore was at Green Bay on the early game on CBS (CBS had the DH)
Washington was at Nawlins on the early game on FOX
If both were secondary markets of each other Both markets would have an early game as ALL road games MUST be televised.
Washington CBS DID carry Baltimore game but Baltimore went with the late FOX game of Buffalo @ LA Chargers.
Home markets are defined by the NFL. All home market games are shown in their entirety from beginning to end. In other words, if Seattle is blowing out San Francisco 48-7, the game will be shown till the end in the home market. They also will start games at the beginning despite other games that may have not ended. This is contractual, not anything to do with local stations or networks.
Only I think that WAS SUPPOSED to work THE OTHER WAY AROUND (Which it LOOKED like might happen ON PAPER)I saw it on CBS two weeks ago, when the Bengals-Broncos game got close, they left the Patriots-Raiders game to go to the Bengals-Broncos game.
yes. If you read some posts in this thread you would have already had the answer. The local teams and usually neighboring markets show the game in its entirityIs there a rule that Fox(or CBS) must show a home team's game in full, even if the early game isn't over?
was thinking if Fox had to do that today with the Bucs/Packers game, or did that end before the late games began?
Fox never leaves a game when the Lions get blown out which isn't much anymore like it was a decade ago. About a decade ago Fox17 would switch the game if the Lions had the late game but stopped doing that in 2010 or 2011 I remember the Lions were on the road VS the Bears missed all of the 1ST quarter because Falcons VS Saints went into OT last year for London game that ended in a tie wasn't until the second quarter until Lions VS Texans. So I don't like when games run over when the Lions are on I want to watch the Lions not the game that is on Fox17 should get the Lions full game since that is the home team it's not fair and isn't right.
I once saw a Packers game get switched for Detroit at Arizona a few years ago.
