On the Subject of New Haven Radio

....all this talk about KC 101, WELI, etc. has reminded me of a question I've wanted to know the answer to for a long time.
I see a building on Dixwell Ave. in Hamden. I believe it's a bank, but there's a neon "on-air" sign outside suggesting it was a radio studio at one time. Anyone know where I'm talking about and what the station was that was there?

Thanks in advance.

That is actually the Connecticut Radio Network. They produce alot of local spots and sunday morning public service radio shows. They are diagonally across from where WPLR used to be. I believe the old PLR site is now a Walgreens. I know a few people that worked for PLR, and evidently it was common because of the closeness of the 2 buildings, and the deceiving On Air sign outside, for people to show up at CRN to claim a prize they has won from PLR. A few of the old PLR announcers did or still do work for CRN.
