The official announcement is Monday at 7:15am. Unless Rush is dropping by for a visit, this makes me think Glenn Beck is joining the lineup. If Beck is going to be live from 9 to noon, it's almost inconceivable that Cox corporate is allowing WHIO to drop it's own product (Boortz). Maybe one or the other gets tape delayed and Savage gets dropped (or Clark Howard goes weekends only) Stay tuned.

If they are hyping "One of America's Top Talk Superstars" I can't think they would mean Levin. Not that I can't see them doing that and booting Savage, but if that's the annoucement they make at 7:15am Monday, a heck of a lot of people are going to say "Who the Hell is that?". It's gotta be Beck, I'd be shocked if it isn't. Only question is is he live, booting or delaying Boortz or Memorex, replacing Savage or Howard (who I could see them bumping to weekends only and the morning updates, since the shows are somewhat evergreen.)

WHIO is probably the longest-tenured Boortz affiliate north of the Mason-Dixon line... probably because of the Cox ownership more than anything else. Although I wouldn't know how his show has fared in the ratings, even if it was because of audience loyalty more than anything else.
I would be shocked if he or Clark got bumped off of the schedule. Savage is the obvious odd man out.

I can't speak for alan, but my low opinion of Beck isn't because of his opinions, it's just that he acts like a tool. Anyone who claims that Obama has a "deep-seated hatred for white people" is just out there to get attention.

Nope. Sorry. Mike Scinto was relieved of his duties at WDAO a while back. I believe it was right after the Presidential election.
And, as far as all the other comments are concerned...last time I looked, WHIO A-F is #1 in Dayton. So, obviously thousands and thousands and thousands of Daytonians like the programming they're hearing.

To all who are critical of Beck, I suggest that you get his books, especially "Common Sense" or his newest, "Arguing With Idiots" and take the time to research his points and "facts". He is not perfect but he is trying to get out the truth, if he is also entertaining then that is just good radio, and television and he isn't making me afraid but the politicians certainly are.
