Online Good Time Oldies Station for Century Village Residents Launches

We're excited to have recently launched CV Radio, designed for the residents of Century Village (and anyone who enjoys the Good-Time Oldies format not currently available in South Florida).

For the radio nerd, we're excited to feature some heavy hitters, including music consulting services from former Florida radio programmer and personality Dennis Winslow, VO from longtime Florida personality Jeff Laurence, longtime So Fla radio guy Pete Sautter, PAMS & JAM resing jingles and more.

Come join us! Available on iHeart, Tunein and the CV Radio apps.

So the seniors need to use apps to listen? Not sure how that's going to work. My father has trouble with texts, no less apps. How about some low power station for the community?

Apps, Alexa, the web. Today’s seniors are hipper than you think, in my opinion. My folks (who have a place there) have two Alexa devices, a laptop and an iPad, and zero terrestrial radios in their condo.

In any event, it was the only option we found available. If you find any available licenses, though, please let me know, I’ll sign right up!!

Bkurt01, I appreciate your enthusiasm. What continues to impress me about the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale market is we've seen a track record of stepping up to offering something special to the public. Whether it's station dedication websites or online streaming, it continues to happen.

I wish other markets had this level of enthusiasm and participation. Strangelove echos my sentiments. You've developed a nice sound. Congrats!

Interestingly, one of the voices I've heard is "Ally" and she was a part of iHeartMedia's Premium Choice oldies format. She recently existed. I live just north of the Palm Beaches in an area known as "The Treasure Coast." Last year, iHeart replaced a news/talk format here for oldies via a translator. Perhaps another subject for another day but I have to wonder if Miami/Ft.Lauderdale could see such a translator arrangement to offer an oldies format at the commercial level.

While I realize this may look like competition for you, iHeart's oldies format is more contemporary offering titles as 'modern' as 1979 focusing on the biggest hits from the mid 60s through the entire 70s decade. In the meantime, I'm sure Century Village must feel special!

Hey John - you're correct. Very same Aly! She's an old friend - we worked together when she was in college and we very much appreciate her being part of the team. Thanks for your kind words.
