Oops! "NBC Nightly News" Audio Heard On "CBS Evening News"

When I took a tour of NBC in New York City, they took us back where they do the NBC Evening News. The tour guide pointed out TVs in the background and told us that they air the local and network newscasts of their competitors. This way if something breaks or if there is a better order to the NBC Evening News, they (or the anchor) can switch it

So my guess was CBS does the same thing. They monitor the competition and someone fell alseep at the switch and the sound was unmuted.

I wonder if all three locals have ever run the same exact car commercial (autos are the most common advertiser during the local news, especially the late local news) during their respective breaks.

I've seen 5, 10 and 12 air the exact commercial at the same time (a second or two out of sync) during their evening news.
