Orlando CBS affiliate apologizes for airing Jaguars instead of Manning Bowl III

Unfortunately for them, NFL rules require the Orlando CBS or Fox (whichever network is running the game) station to air Jags games if they are available. Orlando is considered a secondary market for the Jaguars.
There was lots of screaming at KPHO-TV in Phoenix for not airing the Manning Bowl as well. Unfortunately, since the Cards were at home, CBS wasn't allowed to air a game opposite them. The CBS stations in Tucson and Yuma aired the game, but not KPHO. It was also blacked out in Tampa.

I figured as much when I saw the title of this thread. I've often wondered
whether WKMG gets the Jaguars or the Dolphins; since Jacksonville is much
closer to Orlando, it would make sense that the Jags are seen there. I suspect
the same thing goes for WTSP. NBC stations tend to get the better of the scheduling,
since the Sunday-night game is nationally televised; likewise, ESPN's Monday-night
game is also, obviously since it's cable, nationally televised.
In Florida, the Fox stations would almost be certain to carry Tampa Bay games. But
are the Jags seen in Jacksonville (obviously), Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee, and Gainesville,
while the Dolphins are on in Miami, West Palm Beach, and Ft. Myers? (I would also think
the Jags are seen in Panama City and Pensacola, the latter via WKRG Mobile.)

Just a little point of clarification here, the NFL rules state that a designated secondary market must carry all of the away games of whichever team claims the market as secondary. If the Jaguars had been playing at home this week, the Orlando CBS station could have opted to show the Broncos-Giants game (and likely would have).
For this week, CBS was the doubleheader network and Fox the single game network. The Tucson and Yuma Fox stations carried the Cardinals game, which was played in the late timeslot. At the same time, the CBS stations in those markets carried the Broncos-Giants game. The CBS station in Phoenix could not air any game in the late timeslot because, as mentioned, NFL rules prohibited any game from airing opposite the Cardinals on Fox. So in this instance, both the CBS and Fox station in Phoenix could air only one game this week.
KQFX in Columbia MO claims Fox forced it to air Falcons-Rams instead of Cowboys-Chiefs because Fox considers Columbia a secondary Rams market but KRCG always chooses Chiefs over Rams

The networks don't designate secondary markets, the teams do. The Rams claim Columbia as a secondary market, and since the Rams were playing on the road this week, KQFX was forced to show their game.
As an NFC team, generally the only time a regular season Rams game would air on CBS, and thus be eligible for airing on KRCG, would be if the team plays at home home against a visiting AFC team. In this case, since the Rams would be at home, KRCG would not be required to show the game.
If only there were a way to watch whatever game you want to watch, without the need for Sunday Ticket or Direct TV (or cable)
